Easy: To Willington and back 7 hours there and 7 for the return. 14 hours cruising with the potential option of a short cruise down to Trent Lock upon your return to Sawley. Overnight at Shardlow and Willington and on the return leg, Weston or Swarkestone.

Intermediate: To Wychnor and back, 11 hours there and 11 back. 22 hours cruising, again with the option of a short cruise to Trent Lock on the last day. Overnight at Shardlow, then both Burton and Willington on the return.

Challenging: To Fradley Junction and back. 14 hours there and 14 back, 28 hours cruising in total. Overnight at Shardlow or Weston, at Alrewas on the second night. Final night at Burton, leaving a 7 hour cruise on the last day. An early start is vital.

Alternatively: Sawley to Nottingham. Outbound to Trent Lock and overnight. Second day cruise to Nottingham. Evening in Nottingham, wind and return on third day to overnight at Shardlow. Portion of final day short cruise to Swarkestone, wind and return.
